What you can check
- Current relationships. One export lets you compare followers with following to find accounts that do not follow you back.
- Changes between dates. Two or more exports let you see which accounts appear in or disappear from the follower list, and review changes over time.

How we handle different exports
Export files can vary. The tool accounts for several details that affect the comparison:
- Complete lists. It reads JSON and HTML in supported archive layouts and combines follower lists split across multiple files.
- Separate platforms. Instagram and Threads lists are processed separately so their relationships are not mixed.
- Export dates. Dates are read from inside the archive where possible. If no usable date is found, the file’s modification date is used and may be approximate.
Automated tests cover export processing. If an archive is not recognised or a result looks incomplete, describe the issue through the contact page.
Limits to keep in mind
- No live monitoring. The results describe the exports you provide; a follow and unfollow between snapshots can go unnoticed.
- No explanation of motives. A missing entry does not establish when or why someone left. Username changes, unavailable profiles and incomplete files can affect matching.
- You control your accounts. The tool does not request your Instagram or Threads password or perform automatic follows or unfollows. It is not affiliated with Meta.
How your data is handled
Manually uploaded archives are analyzed in your browser. Optional account backup saves extracted lists and results. We never request your Instagram or Threads password.
- Without sign-in. Lists and comparison history stay in this browser. Clearing site data can remove them.
- With optional Google sign-in. Extracted usernames, follow dates and export details are saved with your account so results can be restored on another device. Your Google profile supplies your name, email and profile picture.
- Analytics and messages. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Cloudflare Web Analytics collect visit and interaction data. Contact messages and feedback contain the information you submit; signed-in feedback is linked to your account.

Optional: inspect the browser requests
You can inspect the data sent during a check using your browser’s developer tools:
- Open developer tools with F12 or ⌘ + ⌥ + I on a Mac, then select Network.
- Choose an export in the tool and wait for the results.
- Inspect the request payloads. The ZIP is not sent; if you are signed in, the extracted lists and export details are sent for saving.
Page resources, analytics and other features also make requests. Network activity alone does not mean the archive was uploaded.
