Terms of Use

Unfollow Checker is a web-based utility that analyzes your Instagram and Threads data export (the JSON or HTML files provided by Meta) and surfaces useful insights: who doesn't follow you back, who unfollowed you, and who your new followers are.

All processing happens locally in your browser. The Service only provides information to help you manage your own account manually and never performs any actions on your behalf.

The Service is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc., Instagram, Threads, or any of their affiliates.

We never ask for your password and never access your Meta account. The files you upload are processed entirely within your browser and are not sent to our servers.

Dependency on the data format. The Service depends entirely on the content and format of the export files generated by Meta. We do not control how these files are produced or what information they contain.

No responsibility for changes. If Meta alters, restricts, or removes the data we rely on, the Service may become inaccurate or non-functional. We are not responsible for such changes.

Right to discontinue. We may suspend or shut down the Service at any time without prior notice — in particular if Meta stops providing the data files our tool relies on. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for such termination.

Accuracy of insights. Lists are derived solely from the export you provide, so we do not guarantee they are 100% accurate. We recommend verifying an account's status directly in the app before taking any action.

The Service only displays data. Any actions based on that data (unfollowing, following, etc.) must be performed by you manually in the official Meta app.

By using the Service, you agree not to:

• use bots, scrapers, or other automated systems to access the Service;
• interfere with the proper operation of the Service or bypass technical limitations;
• use the Service for unlawful purposes or in any way that violates Meta's Terms;
• misrepresent the Service as your own product.

The Service, its source code, design, name, and branding are the property of the site administration. All rights reserved. Any copying, reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works without prior written permission is prohibited.

Third-party trademarks and intellectual property belong to their respective owners.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, or freedom from errors. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.

To the extent permitted by law, in no event shall the site administration be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Service, or for any actions taken by Meta against your account. You are responsible for complying with Meta's own Terms.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the site administration from and against any claims, damages, obligations, and expenses arising from: (i) your use of the Service; (ii) your violation of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party rights, including Meta's Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with the stated update date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. If you are a consumer in the EU or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws, you may have additional rights and may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
